Overview
Paddle on the backwaters of Lake Cumberland. Race consists of multiple distances and divisions. You will be paddling from Pulaski County Park north on Fishing Creek. In spring and summer there is no bottom out risk as long as you follow the channel. Course is an out and back with half loop for recreational paddlers, full loop for short course and double loop for long course.

Expected Distances
- Recreational : 3-4 miles
- Short Course: 6 miles
- Long Course: 12 miles
*Distances are estimated based on planned path, are subject to water level, paddler line and buoy placement. GPS mileage will vary.
Long/Short Course Craft Classes
- SUP: Stand-Up Paddleboard 14ft & Under
- REC: Recreational Kayaks – 12 foot and under
- RS: Recreational and Sea Kayaks – 12 foot to 15 foot 11 inches
- FSK: Fast sea kayaks – 16 foot and up
- SC: Solo Canoe (Includes Outrigger)
- TK: Tandem Kayak
- TC: Tandem Canoe
Recreationally Course Craft Classes
- RSUP: Recreational SUP: Stand-Up Paddleboard Under 12ft 6in
- RO: Recreational Open: Recreational Kayak (Under 14ft)/Recreational Solo Canoe/Pedal Boat
- RTK: Recreational Tandem Kayak (NO high performance layups)
- RTC: Recreational Tandem Canoe (NO high performance layups)
Registration Fees
All events use a tiered pricing based on demand. The most current pricing is listed at registration.
Notes:
- Registration fees increase overtime. So register early.
- Monday prior to the race is considered late registration.
- Price increase dates subject to change based on demand.
- All registrations subject to Runsignup Fees and sales tax based on your jurisdiction.
- Team pricing is discounted per person off base price.
Registration Instructions
- Craft Class Selection: Use the corral selection during registration to select your class of boat. Classes are based on the Waterman series classes.
- Tandem Teams: The first person to register will create a team name for this event that will be used in results. You may register your teammate or they may register later by joining the previous created team during their registration. All members must register for the race.

Logistics
- Important: Participants will receive a race guide the week prior to the event with critical information.
- Check-in: Main boat ramp at Pulaski County Park in Nancy, KY. Follow Signs.
- Put-in and finish will be determined on race day based on water level.
- After check-in follow instructions provided in the race guide emailed the week prior
- Bathrooms will be on-site at shelters 1/2 and campground porta-johns.
- Showers on-site for post race cleanup.
- Course remains open to public traffic.
- Course will be marked with a series of buoys. Racers must pass near the buoys to be considered on-course.
- This is a bring your own food and hydration event. We will have some water available on-site.

Sunday April 23rd
- 08:00AM – Check-In Opens
- 08:00AM – Area open for boat staging
- 08:45AM – Pre-race meeting long course at location in your race guide
- 09:00AM – Long Course start after the conclusion of the racer meeting
- 09:15AM – Pre-race meeting short course at location in your race guide
- 09:30AM – Short Course start after the conclusion of the racer meeting
- 09:45AM – Pre-race meeting recreational course at location in your race guide
- 10:30AM – Recractional course start after the conclusion of the racer meeting
Start times delays may occur based on motorized traffic, weather and race traffic. Anticipate starting on time but be prepared for slight delays.

Rules
- Drafting: Allowed within your distance and occupancy. Solo craft may not draft tandem craft.
- Buoys: Racers are to pass within 6-10 paddle lengths to right of all course marker buoys.
- PFDs: Racers must wear a type III PFD (PDF) at all times while on the water. SUP racers may wear a inflatable
PENALTY: For not wearing PFD – Disqualification
Tandem Teams
The first racer to register will create a team. Price is per racer. You may register your teammate or they can register on their own by joining your team during registration.
